Об альбоме (сборнике):
Black Velvet has been playing Irish music since 1981. Over the years, it went through many personnel changes. Its repertoire also changed, to include a considerable number of tunes written by band members. These draw their influences from various sources - Irish, Breton, Galician, Balkan and Israeli. This combination is well represented here, on the band's first album.
We are joined here on two tracks by two great Irish musicians - Jerry O'Sullivan (Uilleann pipes) and Emer Mayock (Flute and whistle) - both of whom we were fortunate enough to host on stages in Israel.
We would like to dedicate this album to all past members of Black Velvet, and to all of those who attended our concerts over the years, and like us, have waited for this debut album.
